Default lipinski 707's

anybody here these yet?

Bob Katz recommends them and I like what people are saying about them
(especially fine resolution on dynamics and a smooth midrange).

I plan to check them out at AES, just wondering what some of the
R.A.P.ers think about them.

I heard them in a demo room up in Maryland, and they definitely sounded
like they were worth checking out. The midrange was smooth enough, but
they were more forward than I like.

There's a fairly extensive thread on the Gearslutz Forum about the
707's. Consensus there is mixed. I heard them in both stereo and in a
6.1 configuration, with #6 being a Height channel. Intriguing but not
necessarily astounding. (For a speaker that's probably a *good* thing,
right?) They made me want to spend more time with them before I made a
decision.
