oups.com... where did all the rec.audio.pro posts go? We're all still here, boss. Is Google doing something screwy? |

Yes, Google does seem to be doing something weird. Each page of topics
is MUCH shorter now. Some topic pages have only 4 or 5 topics! What used to be on two or three pages now takes 10 or more pages. It makes searching for discussions much more time-consuming. Somebody fix this, please! :-( |

how do you read news with Outlook Express? IF your ISP has a news server available, you set up an account (Tools | Accounts | Add... etc.) The half dozen leading alternatives I tried were all quite clunky and ill-featured compared to Outlook Express. Dunno how people put up with them. |

At the studio, where there's a fast connection, I've been using MT
Newswatcher on OS X for ages and it's great. On dial up at home, though, checking the groups via Google is actually quicker and easier because with a newsreader it takes too long to update the thousands of posts. Google just goes right to the latest, and then you can go back. But, yeah, their front end went wack a few days ago. but accessing through everything else looks same as always. V |
