Default CEP Mixdown Problem

I'm using Cool Edit Pro. When ever I save a multi-track mixdown, I get
about a 1/4 second burst of noise at the first of the audio. I can edit
the mixdown file and cut out the burst and save it and it's fine. Only
happens during the mixdown. I'm saving as an mp3. Any suggestions?

I've seen this. It was a while ago, but I think the solution was in the
Options / Device Order settings. Make sure wave mapper is NOT selected.
Instead select the name of the actual sound device you want to record from
and only that device is selected.
