He'll need good luck to find an SM7B at those prices in the UK! Very few
places carry them over here and the cheapest I've ever been able to find
them
for is about £350 ($660), with the majority of stores charging more like
£400. (Shure's list price is £460, inc VAT - $870!)

Wow! I didn't realize that! Here in the states Broadcast Supply Worldwide
has SM7B's for $349 ( which is about £182 ) :

And they ship internationally. I don't know what the shipping, duty and
taxes etc would add up to though.
