Default WTB Telos ISDN and isolation booth (Chicago)

Hello, I'm a voice talent with a home studio (it's been a great
investment), and I've decided to invest further in an isolation booth
(like a WhisperRoom or VocalBooth) and an ISDN setup.

Both are hugely expensive, and I'm hoping to find what I need second
hand. Anybody have any leads or thoughts about where I can find what
I'm looking for? Of course I'll check out eBay.

Thanks!

I've seen working pros who pretty much regularly phone-in reads off a
103-in-a-cupbord (yeah it's a quiet area and the cupboard's treated right!
but it's REAL lo-tech)...

Mr King should well have a VERY cogent word or 6 on this one...

Pick up a copy of my friend Harlan Hogan's book, "the Voice Actor's Guide to
Home Recording",
http://www.harlanhogan.com/vaguide.shtml. This is a good
book for audio engineers who do consulting work, because it provides some
low cost solutions that are probably outside the experience of those whose
primary work has been in upscale commercial facilities. It has several
interesting approaches to solve the accoustic problems of home-based
recording.

My first home studio used an interior closet with clothes hanging on rods on
both longer walls, about 6 feet or so. It worked, but it did not solve the
problem of exterior noise well. Now, I'm in a basement studio (15 x25
approx) with triple glazed windows, which provide sunlight and keep out
everything but very low-flying jets. Fortunately, that happens so seldom as
to be insignificant.
