I've been planning to get a few FMR RNP's to match with my RNC's for
some time and just saw
that Apogee has a buy 2 get one free deal on the Mini MP. That puts 3
RNP's and 3 Mini MP's at a very
similar price point.

So, I'm curious,
Has anyone compared the mic pre's on the RNP to the Mini MP before?
Any comments or suggestions from real world use of the two?

I'll be using them for location projects of jazz or ensemble work along
with the Ramsa
WZAD96k (the 8chnl 1 rack space mic pre with converters).

I understand both units can get a bit noise at their higher gain
settings any comments
as to just how bad they get?
