Default Mbox for occasional chamber music recordings?

I am a classical pianist and want to record my chamber music
performances for my own documentary purposes, and occasionally for
simple "demos". I have a Rode NT4 stereo microphone and need a
preamp/A/D device for under 500 euro to work with my laptop(Dell 5160
2.8 gHz Running Windows XP). The Mbox seems to fit the bill, is it
reasonably well suited for this application, or are ther other
contenders in this price range? I may get other microphones in the
future, but for now the NT4 will have to do.

grateful for any advice.

oh joy, kevin is here, with his pdf's
the answers to all recording conundrums
just read the simple text ...... it applies to everything

maybe if you just gave all your students the pdf
they could eliminate your position (and save some money)

besides the pope had two copies in case he decided record his sermons!

say amen,
