The guys at the music store where I was looking at the Behringer's said
they both used the Yorville's. Thanks for the 2nd opinion. Ricky Hunt wrote: "H" wrote in message news:ntp2e.135193$fc4.91665@edtnps89... Are there any other active monitors out there in this price range that are better? In the lower end range it seems most like the Yorkville YSM1p. |

The Yorkville is actually usable, which is saying a lot for the price. The Tannoy Proto-J is another possibility. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

The Tannoy Proto-J is another possibility. I bought a pair on a lark about a year ago. In the Proto-J I finally found a Tannoy product that I consider unsuitable for audio applications. Before these I'd never heard a Tannoy product I hated. I have now. I got rid of them within 24 hours. -- "It CAN'T be too loud... some of the red lights aren't even on yet!" - Lorin David Schultz in the control room making even bad news sound good (Remove spamblock to reply) |

I had a listen to some ESI nEar 05's this afternoon. They are cheap but
I think they'll do the trick for now. i just want something to use at home on my personal projects. I'm going to bring in one of my Protools projects tomorrow to have another listen.
