Ty Ford http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7309674778 Ty, Probably because they don't want to field questions about repairs or support. It really was a very nice mixer/recorder. Don't I know it! I still have mine that I bought new in 1985. In fact, for some time I had acouple of these units. They worked great, and had all kinds of stuff that most other 4tracks didn't have, like +48. Unfortunately, there are some things that are prone to breakdown in these units overtime. Some of the mechanics in the transport start to go. Plus, the vu meter lights burn out easily, and it looks to be a lot of work to try to change them. I still use mine. When switched to 2 track normal speed mode, it is a very nice cassette deck. And having pitch control is a bonus. Occasionally I will have a customer who wants me to transfer a cassette recording of a recital to CD, and being able to correct pitch at the source before decoding it with dolby is a good thing.
