Please, one TubeGarden is plenty. The HL2 and ML4 are enjoying driving me into
ecstacy daily. Finest blind amp project to date. David sends me these goodies,
cheap, and I think, worth a try and now I am sure nothing is more complete than
my ignorance and nothing is more fun than trying new stuff.

**** is just fine cooking on its way to becoming beautiful flowers. No sense
thinking it is important or anything

I don't read much of the posts, I am too weak, and lazy.

640 mW is more power than I need, but, headroom is always nice

serious. Last time we talked of music, you said the important thing
was *doing*. I had accommodated your view in my concept of
"performance", or so I hoped. That is because it was your view, or
at least that more clearly expressed by Al, that inspired me in the
first place, and rescued me from the teeth of simple
reproductionism. You defined one side of the argument that I was
trying to resolve in that thread. You seem still blind to the idea
that our similar concerns manifest themselves in opposite ways, but
are equally legitimate and can amount to the same thing. That
blindness, together with your tendency towards censorship, can be
quite demoralising at times.

Arrival at the understanding necessary to resolve the issue requires
debate and sometimes hard argument, and it won't always be clean
because people actually care...they feel (although exactly what they
feel is where I get lost). Several people including me have learned
from that thread and the knowledge will stick because of the
*engagement*.

Doing, engagement, performance...it's all the same Choky. We
socialise our knowledge. We build the big picture together. Lot's
of kinds of doing. Doing in every sphere.

And doing in politics, Choky. They were your dicks, and will
continue to be if you don't do something. The bombs were mine.

maybe twice in the last fortnight, and I ain't gonna repaeat myself.

But some folks get easily bamboozled by electronics/magnetics very

Tasmanian Devil sometimes rise his ugly head from each of us ,hehe

I was not able to take a look at this yr's Grand One race;
even today I must go to do afternoon shift in radio.
besides ,I'm overwhelmed in last half of year with my old man struggle with
cancer (I hope succesfull struggle!),so spare time is luxury even more.

I knew a bike racer. He was in the Pike's Peak race in the rain and cold and
had an epiphany:

Lost my Dad to C in 94. He was still funny in the hospital. Death is just a
nasty fart after a great meal.

Good signal transformers get better with lower voltage and less current. Not
technically, just sound better.

ML4 puts out whopping 640 mW, 25mA at 200V, and ubt-2 never sounded better.

And lots of chokes don't hurt, neither

My wife had already been down that road, so I just blew off their blah blah.

Univac Mark II

PDP-8s were great, 7 instructions (plus NOP) and 12 bits. Core memory. I had
two machines, one with 4K and one monster with 12K. I toggled the bootstrap
loader in thru the front panel and then loaded via Teletype KSR-33. Punched
paper tape flew by the read head at 110.5 baud!

On a good day, I could load the 12K machine in under an hour

Other days I would sit at the machine trying to load it all day and go home
defeated

The past really sucked. That is why I left

Hey, you're lucky you got disability when you did. Now if you're able to
ask for it, you don't qualify, and, if you're not able to ask for it, you
[obviously] don't get it. I have *2* cases pending in mass superior court:
Me vs State Of Mass. You know, it costs money to sue the state, and only
through making nice to court clerks was i able to waive the fees (some). I
think the judge should take herself off the case - since thee are
conflicting interests - she's paid by the very state I'm suing...
