Seems that with all the science surrounding the acoustic properties and tuning of wooden plates used as instrument soundboards, you might be able to get a cool sound with a wooden plate reverb.....anyhow, just a crazy thought. Trouble with wood is that it does not have consistant characteristics from piece to piece. Also you can't really slice it into a thin membrane and tension it out really tight. Makes a nice cabinet though .... geoff |
