Of course. Why else would they brag about it? But if you're asking if
changing your mixer will change your life, not very likely. But it
might. Depends.

one say that onyx is more natural sound than xdr
others say that onyx have the same sound as xdr except for the lower
noise floor and more wised dynamic range of Onyx
the others say that Xdr have better sound than onyx

They're probably all right. It depends a lot on the microphone you're
using (and don't tell me what mic you're using and ask which one would
be better for that - the answer is always the Onyx) and what you're
recording and what you want to hear (that's the variable)

p.s I personally like a colored vocal sound such as Neve 1089 or
Focusrite Red 1 preamp than natural sound preamps

Neither Mackie is like either of those. Mackie's designs tend toward
the clean and uncolored. No transformer, no tubes, no trick
"saturation" designs, just gain as quiet as they can make it for the
price they decided to sell it for.
