Default SD Card Compatibiliy/Formatting issue (mp3 player)

I have a maycom mp-50 (128 mb) mp3 player - and
wanted to add a (128 mb) SD (MMC) card per the
mfr's specs.

After I format the SD card (using an internal reader from
a laptop) and then try to switch over from Internal memory
to the SD Card - a message "NO FORMAT" flashes...and then
it returns to internal memory.

Anyone have ideas that will help ?

I have (unsucessfully) tred to contact Maycom...no luck.

Thanks in advance

DB
