Is it possible?
....if so.... how? The audiosuite:time compression and expansion utility doesn't seem accurate enough for video purposes...is there a different plugin available that makes this easy and accurate? |

how did we ever develop a different standard than Europe anyway? Perhaps you meant "why did Europe develop a different standard" NTSC was the first on the block, and as frequently happens, the succedding versions build on, and improve the performance of the original. "The most widely used system of color television, PAL, employs a chrominance subcarrier, frequency interleaving of luminance and chrominance components, the constant luniinance principle - all taken from the NTSC scheme. " http://www.williamson-labs.com/ntsc-fink.htm "Mike Rivers" wrote ... There's something to be said for the difference in power line frequency, but that's only a small part of the story. The real question is why we developed the NTSC standard at all (or the way we did). That lies in making color video work with existing b/w hardware (that could have been changed). I think the "progress" (or lack of it) in non-compatible DTV replacing analog television is real-time evidence that building a backwards-compatible extension to the existing system was in large part responsible for its acceptance. |
