My problem is that when I run a signal in to the pre EQ inserts on my
Carvin PA1200 I get nothing. I know the PA1200 works fine. I have a Mackie 1202 which I connected to the Carvin. I connected the Mackie's Main Mix to the pre EQ inserts on the Carvin but got nothing. Just to confirm that I am getting a signal from the Mackie I got out my old Peavey XR600 and connected the Mackie's Main Mix to the Peavey's PA1 & PA2 jacks, and it worked fine. My best guess is that the Carvin's pre EQ inserts need a stronger signal. Does any one know what level I should be feeding the Carvin's pre EQ inserts? I think the Mackie's output is around +4db. If the problem is that I need a stronger signal to the Carvin any pointers on where I could find a booster to do boost it? Thank you, Jon |
