Thanks to all respondants! I've picked up a new NT1000 on eBay for $218.
Besides liking the price, I also like that this Rode fits into the same shock mount as my K2 -- making it that much easier to swap mics when auditioning a singer. --Vland "Vland" wrote in message om... I have a Rode K2 tube-type microphone that works well and sounds great. I'd characterize its sound as full and warm. I want another large-capsule mic (probably not a tube-type) that also sounds great but significantly different from the K2 (probably brighter). Some candidates a Audix SCX-25 Neumann TLM 103 Studio Projects C1 Rode NT1-A Rode NT1000 Note: not the Rode NT2-A or NT2000 since they use the same capsule as the K2, and I'm looking for something different. I'd welcome hearing opinions about these and recommendations for other mics. Thanks. |
