I've been using SX 2.2.0 on a dual-867MHz Mac, with Reason 2.5 as a
ReWire slave. Up to now I've never run into CPU issues...until I connected a Behringer BCF2000 in Mackie emulation mode. Now, suddenly, it seems like I can barely play back anything of any real complexity, even if I freeze VST instruments. I can't believe that sending MIDI control data from Cubase to (what it thinks is) a Mackie Control should be that CPU intensive. Has anyone else experienced this? When I set up the BCF2000 as a normal MIDI controller, this doesn't happen, although I don't get flying faders or encoder readback. Does Cubase SX 3.0 or Logic 7 deal with these any better? -C |
