Default Fruityloops Playlist

I am not sure if it is a version change or i am doing something wrong
but when i use fruityloops studio 5 producer edition, i cannot seem to
line up the blocks in the squares of the playlist editor. I also use
fruityloops 3 and this does it with ease (they just fall into place)
but version 5 doesnt just drop them in line, it overlaps and its making
it hard to line anything up unless i zoom right in on each block which
is going to take me forever. Can anyone help?

I do not use the program, but have you looked for a grid snapping
tool? Most sequencers have these so you can make notes of odd lengths,
and have notes start off the grid if necessary.
