I know that there isn't any voice option on MIDI.
However, there are are now voice synthesizers that sound much less robotic than previously. I wondered if there was any work going on to produce a MIDI-like standard for artificial singing voices. Are there any good software generators of voice-like tones? I'm thinking of the human voice as an instrument rather than as a communications medium here. -- O how I cried when Alice died The day we were to have wed!
