Default Sony MDR-V6 vs 7506

I have both and to my ears the consumer V6 sounds much, much smoother.
The 7506's have a high end that makes my teeth rattle!!!
Anyone else have both and feel this way?
Just curious.

Dunno about the V6, but my 7506s are great for editing (really show those
harsh bits up), and for testosterone-boosting trouser flapping bass ( keep
make me tearing them off swearing that my stereo speakers are shaking the
house late at night - but they're not switched on).

But most tiresome (almost to the point of unusable) for casual music
enjoyment.

Pretty much agreed. I use HD 580s for listening for pleasure or for
evaluating actual sonic balance. If you work with 7506s, you have to know
the meaning of "translate" and be able to implement it. But that's true of
working with headphones regardless.
