Default CD changer that will also play MP3 discs?

Just about every DVD player I've seen will also play CD-R's full of MP3
files, but does anyone know of a reputable CD changer that has this
ability? Someone told me about an RCA model, was hoping for something
slightly more upscale. Thanks.

I can't recommend a make/model but I do know they exist.

Try the 400 capacity Sony CDP-CX455. I have one of these and the manual
claims MP3 compatibility. (Quote : MP3 files recorded on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs,
and CD-RWs. ... ...must be in ISO 9660 level 1 or level 2 format... ...can
use a disc recorded in Multi Session.)
It sounds excellent on CDs.
However with my one MP3 CD, it reads the ToC but doesn't play it. The same
MP3 CD plays quite happily on my Sony Picot DVD player.

I don't know of a reputable CD changer, period. There's a Marantz model
5-disc unit that doesn't break TOO often, and I know a lot of the Marantz
boxes will play MP3 files directly so the changer may as well. Klay
Anderson carries them and will know the details.
