"Michael McKelvy" emitted : Newbie readers should completely disregard Mr Kruegers asinine comments regarding Sonus Faber. This is an extremely competent brand, producing highly regarded, highly enjoyable, exquisitely musical speakers. Yes and they use drivers that are or were available to the DIY market. My amplifier also uses parts which available to the DIY market. If only I had the knowledge, experience, production facilities, etc etc The proof in the pudding is in the listening, which I doubt Mr Krueger has done. Note that this sicko takes exception to almost any product that is not utilitarian by design. I don't see where he said it isn't utilitarian, only that it's more about style than sound. Congratulations on being partisan to an insult toward Sonus Faber owners worldwide! What insult? They are beautiful speakers, they sound very nice as well. Does that mean they can't be outdone in style and performance? I doubt it. Check them out at www.madisound.com and click on the kits link and then the Orion one. I don't do kit speakers. I buy professionally designed products. So Sigfried Linkwitz is not a professional designer in your onion? OK OK. That should be your opinion. One look at the Orion and I think you'd be very impressed. The sound great as well. You can order them as kit with or without blank circuit boards, or as a fully assembled system ready to play for $6500.00 U.S. built to order. Any way you look at it, these are impressive looking and sounding speakers. |
