Hi,

How do record mono with my AT825 stereo XLR mic? Can I buy a XLRF 3-pin
x 2 to XLRM 3-pin adapter cable or should I use a preamp/mixer like the
MixPre? I will be recording to a Boss BR864.

Thanks,
Danno

Why don't you just use one side of the XLR cable?

I am pinking up some noise that I thought might be due to one XLRM not
being terminated. Is this not an issue?

No, it's not an issue at all. What does the noise sound like? Hum, buzz,
hiss, or rumble?

Maybe. Wrap the unused connector in aluminum foil and see
if there is any difference. I'd be surprised if your unused connecor
was a source of noise.

No, you're supposed to wrap your HEAD in aluminum foil & se if there's any
difference.
