Default Suggestions for a 2-channel linkable Mic pre with gates

Hi!

I'm a recording artist and I prefer recording my guitar-parts here at home.
I have the classic mics for (Shure SM57, Neumann U87 and KMi) and the
equipment for it.
Until now I mostly used my Line6 made POD Pro but now I'm back to my beloved
Marshall miking it up with 2 mics to be able to play with the so-called
phase-EQ. I prefer this way to shape a tone than to use some device EQs.
I have 2 mic preamps: a Focusrite TrakMaster and a Behringer Ultra-Voice Pro
(VX2000). I like the tone of the Focusrite but it has no gate in it and I'd
need it since on the gain channel my amp has some noise (altought it is
re-valved by a pro). I don't really like the Behringer but it HAS a gate
function it.
I scrolled thru Focusrite's products line to find the one I really need. I'd
like to see a 2 channel mic preamp with compressor AND gate. I also think
that the link function would be useful. Well, Focusrite doesn't produce one
like this.
I like the Focusrite Platinum line (obviously that's the sum of money I'd
like to spend for a solution).
Please suggest me a device from any manufacturer that would be the right
choice for me!
Thanks for your help!

Why do you care about the gate? If you're taking the tracks somewhere else
to be mixed, let THEM worry about the gating. You can do it at mixdown just
as easily as you can in tracking, maybe more easily.

Get a clean preamp that sounds good, and worry about processing later on.
You can buy an outboard NR box like the Rocktron if you absolutely have to
do that yourself in tracking.

The only answer is that I also practice here at home on the same equipment
and I hate those buzzing.
Thanks

I would suggest finding and eliminating the source of the RFI that is
causing your buzzing...I'm going to guess you have a solid-state light
dimmer somewhere in the house, or an Invisible Fence, or a single-tube
flourescent lamp...

But you'll still hear the amp buzzing anyway, even if the recording feed
is gated! If the problem is that the buzz annoys you during practice, find
the source of the buzz and fix it, rather than using a gate to hide it.
