The Akai DPS24 has a pitch corrector in its effects patches. As usual,
however, there is no explanation in the manual as to what the controls do. Since I have never used AutoTune or anything similar, I am confused. Listening to results of playing with them have not revealed any consistent understandable effect. So what to these controls do?: Ratio (0-100%) - I figure this is how close to the desired tone the pitch would be moved. Smoothing (0-100%) - Similar to Attack Time on a compressor? Inhibit (On-Off) - Inhibits what??? The damn thing doesn't need an on-off switch. Is there a FAQ or something somewhere that explains pitch correction? (Maybe should have asked that first. Hmm. I'll go do a search in the meantime. Back later.) Willie K. Try Yahoo Groups - they have an AKAI DPS12 group - but they deal with DPS16
and DPS24 as well and I am sure this topic has been covered there. I know they are a really helpful bunch. Jim "Willie K.Yee, M.D." wrote in message ...
