Default Nearest Mac program to CoolEdit Pro (Adobe Audition)

Hi Folks,

A friend who is stuck with an apple mac need to train up on audio
editing software. Is there anything close in the mac world to Adobe
Audition, since she will ultimately need to convert to Audition?

Thanks,

Greg

version of Peak.

If your friend's Mac can run System 9 have them download Protools Free
from Digidesign.com. What a deal!

I love how he says "stuck with an apple" Christ I hate those damn
Macintoshes! Maybe it's a like a Performa? I don't even like to admit
that line existed. Beats installing critical updates though. Forgot
about SD. Thats a good one.

cheers

Two things about Sound Designer: you gotta have a Digi card for it to
work. (Buy an Audiomedia 3 card on ebay for a $100, which will also run
older versions of Protools.) And you also have the pain-in-the-ass
floppy authorization hurdle if your Mac ain't got no floppy.

But SD is da KING of mono or 2 track editing. Especially when paired
with MasterlistCD. I got a old Mac 8500 in my control room just for
these 2 apps. They are so damn reliable!
