I'm looking to rent a Teac 3340 or similar machine (1/4" 4-track, relatively
portable) to bring into my studio to mix from (or just transfer) 2 reels. Need
to have it very soon, as I'm up against a deadline and the machine I'm using is
a piece of crap!

Well, I have up on Ebay right now an Ampex 440-4 machine which includes
a 1/4" 4-track playback stack specifically for dealing with tapes made on
those old Teac machines. It's in Virginia, though.

If you can help me out I'd really appreciate it. Will pick up the deck, give
you some secret mixing/ mastering tips, lend you something in the future,
babysit, anything!! Please respond to my email address - I'm not on r.a.p.
anymore.

If you've got yourself a 1/2" 4-track machine around, let me know and I will
see if I can find a head assembly for you to go to 1/4" with it.
