Default TC Delay question

Asked earlier but since it is audio related got no answer. This is easy. Does
the TC D-Two have an infinite repeat mode? Thanks,

I don't have one, so I can't tell you for sure, but the manual makes no
mention of an infinite repeat mode.

I think it does an infinite repeat with the feedback run all the way
up. I'll check mine this eve.

Yep, the manual says feedback at 100% functions as infinite repeat.
BRBR

Thank you. Infinite feedback is a different than looping the delay line
contents, but it should amount to approximately the same result.

You say "aproximately the same" because the feedback loop will degrade
the signal a bit with each pass I assume? Or is there a further
difference?

Yes, although I imagine the degradation on the TC unit to be negligeable.
Additionally, there is the fact that infinite feedback means the loop is always
in record mode, so any new material becomes part of the loop. With a true
infinite repeat mode & the balance set to equal amounts dry & effect, one can
play over the loop without adding to the loop. One can also disengage the loop
& have it die out at a controlled rate of decay, instead of having to get into
the menu & turn down the degree of feedback. My question was relating to live
stage performance issues. I've been using some old Digitech delays for this
sort of thing & they sound like **** & max out at 7.6 seconds of delay, but
they have knobs on them & are easy to manipulate while playing.

Does the TC D-Two have an infinite repeat mode? Thanks,

I'd hate to be the guy assigned to verify that claim!

On second thought, that would would be good, steady work for the foreseeable
future.

The correct answer then, would have to be no. Maxed out feedback can
simulate infinite repeat, but it is different, as was pointed out. It
doesn't "lock" the current material the same as infinite repeat does.
