Are you looking for mix advice or musical advice? I thought the mix sounded
fine, maybe the bass is a little upfront. The backing vocals sounded cool to
me, don't hide them in so much reverb and bring them forward in the mix. I
would like to hear the chorus built up a little more, maybe a clean strat
type guitar spelling out chords or something. Nice work.

If you have a few minutes, I'd be interested in any constructive feedback

on
this track.

Since Phil has put it on his site, I see no harm in pointing you folks at

it
for any critique you care to offer.

I recorded and mixed it here at my studio, and it was mastered at Studio
301, Sydney.

I feel like the bottom end is still a bit 'big', but since we'll be

getting
the whole album mastered as a whole, I'll get that looked at then.

The arrangement etc is a collaboration between Phil and myself, and we are
about to start work on two more tracks.

I played guitar, bass, and keys, Phil did the vocal, and a friend, Evan
Williams played drums.

Phil lives in Auckland, I live in Wellington (about 7 hours drive) so we
collaborate via mp3 ideas, and he flies down for a few days to track

vocals
and work on mixes.

Anyway, I'm interested in any comments.

Flame suit on

cheers

Geoff

Thanks!

Musical and/or mix advice welcome!

Since I will have an opportunity to revisit this before the album comes out,
it is all useful.

It is playing on the Radio around NZ at the moment as is, and sounds
basically fine, but I am looking to improve the mix for the album version.

Thanks for the feedback.
