Certainly I don't know what you're talking about. I know a number of
musicians that use tracks for performance when the pickings are slim on
other musicians and end up having large followings and doing a good job.
Doesn't allow for much in the way of spontaneous jamming, but hey, one has
to realize that people come to a gig to be entertained. If they feel like
they are being entertained, then who are we to question what it is they feel
entertained by?

That said, I'm also used to quality musicians who can play most anything at
the drop of a hat, so I agree that, to me, it is far more entertaining to go
hear live musicians interacting and pulling off a great performance.

Of the two, I usually try to make certain that when I'm working the latter
is the choice in the working situation. But it's just as hard to get a set
of tracks running right so that a performance to tracks works well.
Besides, when it's done right, most people won't care.

To cut out the bull**** and perform live.
No self-respecting honest musician would pull this crap.
Even if most people are too stupid to care.

Whats a rock solid reliable solution for them? They don't have the

for a RADAR or Tascam MX2424. It'd have to be a lower market Fostex or
Mackie MDR, SDR or HDR. What are people using with success with this
situation?
