PT Gate Meter

I use ProTools V6.4 on Mac System 10.3
at several different studios. The DigiRack Gate meters
work backwards at best. Does this bother anyone else?
I contacted Digidesign about this by phone.
The tech appeared unaware of the problem. I also emailed them
several days ago with no response yet.
Does anybody else notice the strange metering.
It forces you to use your ears. Which IS a good thing.
