I have two of these 1/2" 8 tracks sitting here. One works perfectly,
has the vari-speed motor, and external DBX encoder/decoder, was modded
by someone for 2 output fans on top of the unit. Been sitting in
storage for 4 years, a lil cramolin on the relays and you'd be set.

The other unit, plays back but will not record. The oscillator circuit
is damaged and I could not get the same exact transistors (read
japanese 1970's) so the bias could not be achieve for recording. B/O

Both of these units weigh 75lbs each.
