Default Should I get Tascam US-122?

Hello,

I posted this at rec.audio.misc but got no answers can anyone help?

I'm a traditional Korean musician, with little recording experience.
I wish to start composing/arranging works based on Korean traditional
music, but using a mixture of Korean instruments (Kayagum, Percussion,
Piri) with non-Korean instruments: Bass, Viola, Trumpet, guitar,
perhaps sax or other guest artists.

I have looked at the Tascam US-122 as a compositional tool, but I was
wondering what people think of this, or would recommend others? Also
I have keyboard experience and so I am also looking at a keyboard that
might go well with this.

Also should I avoid those generic sound libraries where you get the
most sounds for your buck? I am thinking that I don't need an
extensive library as my ensemble will consist of very particular
members. Should I go for quality over quantity?

Other things that I need to consider:

-Also I plan to sample sounds from real Korean instruments via a
microphone.

Thank you for any advice you can give in my search for the right
combination.
