I've converted many records to CD's, but just got a new computer that's by
the stereo. Since the computer wasn't expensive (HP Pavillion a500n) I'm looking at several options for getting records from the stereo receiver into the computer. It's an Asus motherboard with Integrated AC97 audio. I also have an external USB Creative Extigy There's also an AWE 64 in the old machine I can move Creative has a new external audigy that's not too expensive.... I'm NOT after sounds, only good D/A getting into the computer... What's best of these, or is there something else I should look at?? |

I got it for live recordings and didn't think about using it for records.... I assume I'd still have to come from the receiver to the mbox at line level (or can the mbox handle phono level???). |
