No, they forget to modify them, for instance to use two electrolytics back to back with the appropiate offset-voltage to the midpoint to prevent them from distorting the sound, they still use them as if a split-supply powered circuit itself provided an offset voltage that is larger than the largest signal voltage. And it has been known since the 1930'ties that an electrolytic is unlinear if unbiased.
