Default SINGING ON BROADWAY WITHOUT MICROPHONES: ONE NIGHT ONLY

ALL-STAR CAST FOR "BROADWAY UNPLUGGED" IN NEW YORK CITY
Concert at The Town Hall Attracts Major Names
"NO MICROPHONES!" in 1,500 Seat Theater

Critic/Author Scott Siegel is at it again. After creating the
critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series at Town Hall, which
just concluded its fourth smash season, Siegel has announced a
star-studded cast for a first annual Broadway Unplugged concert at
Town Hall at 8 PM on Monday, September 27, 2004.

Siegel is building on the signature element of his Broadway by the
Year shows, the performance of songs "off-mike" so that the audience
can once again hear pure human voices singing Broadway show tunes
without the aid (or the blare) of electronic amplification. "We've
been averaging about six songs off-mike during each Broadway by the
Year concert and they invariably stop the show," said Siegel.
"Clearly, there is a hunger for this kind of heroic, unadorned
performance," he continued, "and not only does the audience clearly
love to hear songs performed this way, the singers love doing it, as
well."

Broadway and cabaret stars who have been cast so far include:
Nancy Anderson, Christine Andreas, Stephanie J. Block,
Michael Cerveris, Chuck Cooper, B.J. Crosby, Bill Daugherty,
Darius de Haas, George Dvorsky, Davis Gaines, Debbie Gravitte,
Ann Harada, Cady Huffman, Ludmilla Ilieva, A.J. Irvin,
Eddie Korbich, Alix Korey, Marc Kudisch, Jeff McCarthy,
Howard McGillin, Euan Morton, Julia Murney, Emily Skinner,
Mary Testa, Tom Wopat, and Karen Ziemba. More to come!

"I don't expect Broadway to suddenly throw its microphones away," said
Siegel, who writes The Siegel Column for TheaterMania.com with his
wife Barbara, "but I hope this concert will send the message that
audiences want to hear a more natural sound."

Tickets for this concert event are just $50 and $25 dollars. They can
be purchased right now at Ticketmaster 212-307-4100 or at HYPERLINK
http://www.unplugged.theatermania.com
www.unplugged.theatermania.com They can also be ordered by mail

There are also a limited number of post show cast party tickets at $50

The trick is to sing ALL IN CAPS.

Actually, kind of a mean post to a group of sound men.
