I record mainly instrumental acoustic guitar music. I have the
original MOTU 2408 (20-bit converters, sample rate up to 48khz). This
system has served me well. However, I am considering upgrading to a
newer system with good quality 24-bit converters and the capability to
record at higher sample rates. Does anyone have any recommendations
for a digital recording interface? I can spend up to $1000.

Why not the mk3? List is $995, they sell at K-Mart for less (they are
posting the correct list price now). He can still use the old one.

Why not the mk3? List is $995, they sell at K-Mart for less (they are
posting the correct list price now). He can still use the old one.

You may want to check out the Digi 002 rack. It is a little more,
around $1200, but it sounds pretty good in that price range.
Very easy to work with also.You can also add the new digi control
surface later if you want hands on mixing.
