ANYONE HAVE ANY INSIGHT ON THIS?

Our HHB Burnit's tray pops back in unexpectedly before a CD is snuggled safely
into the tray. It happens at any given second, unprovoked.

Oddly enoough, the same trouble is on my MacG4 87DP w/Pioneer 4x DVD burner.
Pops out, pops in, wont pop out, wont pop in....CD stuck, Computer freezes...oy

Any clues?
