I don't seem to be able to record on my X77 and don't know why. First
question is: can I use a standard cassette tape or do I need to use a special tape? I tried using a standard cassette tape to no avail. If someone might give me a quick lesson here I would appreciate it. I have a guitar that I connect to the front input and then I press rec. and play. It will play through the unit but won't record and it doesn't show any volume on the record l.e.d graph. Thanks, Rudy |

Nothing too fancy (no metal tape, if they even still make it) I have a guitar that I connect to the front input and then I press rec. and play. It will play through the unit but won't record and it doesn't show any volume on the record l.e.d graph. You probably need to push some more buttons to route the guitar input to a track. It might be as simple as selecting the track to record. If you don't have a manual for it, try contacting Fostex and see if they can provide you with one. I checked the US web site and didn't see an X77 manual availabe for downloading, but you can order a copy (a reproduction, it says, so this is probalby an old recorder) for $10. Here's the URL: http://www.fostex.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=228 And if you already have a manual, RTFM! I know this is Fostex, and they're right down there with Roland for clear and understandable manuals, but there should be something there that will help you to get recording. -- I'm really Mike Rivers ) However, until the spam goes away or Hell freezes over, lots of IP addresses are blocked from this system.
