Default Update on Pioneer DVR-107

I've burned about 7 discs on my new 8x burner though I have been doing
it on the low cost 1x discs. I will pick up some fast media and check it
out later today.

The printed advertisement stated that the dvd was compatible with all
apple software but failed to tell you that if you put it in a pyro box
all bets were off. I assume that if I install this into a tower it will
work with iDVD but for now it does not.

On the other hand, the copies it is making on bargain discs are great,
easily read on other machines and compared to my other burner that is a
god send. I don't have anything to use as a bit comparison but the
verification comes out fine on toast. I don't know how close the dvd has
to be to pass on toast but I have compared actual track on the dvd to
the original and looked at the wave forms in cubase and they seem perfect.

I have a 104 in one of Boca's boxes(bought that way), a 105 in my G4
that I installed, which the G4 sees as a Superdrive, and a 106D that
came in my G5. All work well, maybe perfectly with DVD-R's and -RW's .
I use cheap media and burn at 1x.

I use the Boca with this TiBook and iDVD. You need to go to
http://homepage.mac.com/geerlingguy/...dvd_other.html
and do what he says.

Happy burnin'
