Default Lead guitar tone

I think I got a tone I can finally like. I used a SM57 a little off centered
and with a little moving around it sounded pretty good.

It is nice. But that metronome would come in handy.

The tone after the attack ain't too bad, but that "pick-chirp" has got to
go! Are those P-90 pickups you're playng through?

Well, DaveDrummer: This is probably the world's most well-known
mic-technique for electric guitar so you're really not breaking any new
ground here. That said: The guitar-sound isn't to bad, but with timing like
this not even the best guitar-sound in the world will help you make it in
the music-business. Buy that metronome!

I agree with the comments on a metronome and pick chirp. A tuner would seem
to be indicated as well.
