Default Pops and clicks w/ new HR824s....

I just replaced my Event 20/20bas pair with a pair of HR824. Whereas I never
heard pops and clicks with the Events, I am hearing pops and clicks quite
often when playing back the same material with the HR824's. Sometimes the
pops happen at the same place. But just when I think for sure they are
happening at specific places, I can't reproduce it and it seems somewhat
random. In any case, what could be going on here? I am, not feeding the
speakers a very hot signal by any means. Could it be that the Mackie's are
more sensitive to glitches? The thing is, I zoomed in at one of the
instances where I heard pops and I saw no indication of glitchy audio. With
the Events, when I would hear a glitch, I could usually see it after zooming
in and then correct it.

This is really disturbing and any help is appreciated.

The obvious - maybe
Is all the wiring clean, tight and without breaks or cracks in the wires
- away from AC? Is something cycling on and off elsewhere on the circuits?

For a mixdown session I did a long time ago, the culprit was the mini-fridge
with all the beer in it, one floor below the "studio". Whenever the
compressor went on, there were clicks and pops, almost like digital
glitches. It was my first session ever on my first blackface ADAT and I had
been worried that maybe it was the new unit. I finally found the
mini-fridge issue in the last few hours of a long weekend session.

The only pops I've ever heard in my HR-824's have been digital glitches from
incorrect sync, and/or glitches that I could zoom in on and see.
