i'm curently doing my bed room as a home recording studio and have
been using acid 4.0 for quite some time to make rap beats now i wanna
start dropen some vocals.i've never noticed a recording device but was
wandering if maybe there was a hard to find one.

Your soundcard will work. Don't count on getting too great a sound without a
good mic (NOT one that plugs into the little mic jack on your Soundblaster)
and preamp. But that can be had for reasonably cheap.

Acid will work pretty well for this, as long as you don't need to do
much editing of the parts you recorded.

A music director I know uses Acid to compose backing tracks for a lot
of projects, and he started doing voice-overs with it as well. Seemed
to work very well for the video projects he worked on.

Acid records two-tracks at a time froma ny valid input device. Of course
you can build up as many audio track as your system can drive, but only two
at a time.

You can also record s many as you like similataneiously in a multitrack
recording app, and simply drag/drop them into Acid.
