![]() There's a "Sneak Preview" in the June 2004 issue of Recording Magazine, which probably means that it's not quite in stores yet. That could explain why nobody who can talk has tried it yet. -- I'm really Mike Rivers ) However, until the spam goes away or Hell freezes over, lots of IP addresses are blocked from this system. Is EMU the
same co. as Ensoniq - as in Paris? EMU inherited Paris from Creative Labs when Creative took over Ensoniq and later took over EMU. I've seen some user's reviews that were very positive about this 1820M system. Given EMU's track record with MDM's and DAWs (can you say Darwin and Paris?), I wouldn't expect much in the way of longevity. However, it's not like anyone's going to go bankrupt if EMU throw this system under the train like they have done with all of their other recording platforms. If it had an ADAT timecode input so I could lock it to my Paris DAW, I might buy one. Doug Joyce Animix Productions Durango, CO "Mondoslug1" wrote in message ... I wonder if it will turn out to be one of the Creative Labs consumer chipsets on a slightly better board with higher quality IO and better drivers like the Emu APS turned out to be? Not that that has to be a bad thing. If it is, I'm sure they will have had the good sense to fix it so that the good drivers can't ever run on an Audigy this time :-) -- ***My real address is m/ike at u/nmusic d/ot co dot u/k (removing /s) http://www.unmusic.co.uk http://www.unmusic.co.uk/Top_50_Films.html - favorite films http://www.unmusic.co.uk/amh-s.html - alt.music.home-studio |
