Default From Logic to Pro Tools

I had the understanding that OMF1 and 2 was more or less invented to take
audio from one program to another, doesnīt Pro Tools support it. According
to my Logic manual it does, but that may just be Emagic talking. Iīm using
Logic 5.51 on Windows but it does support OMF 1 and 2 and this is a program
that hasnīt been updated for 19 months.

Pro-tools full version supports it. The LE versions do not.

This from a DP4 User who has run into this headache with the
Digi-001/M-box Digi-002 users.

TDM users dont have this problem.

There's an add-on utility from Digidesign named DigiTranslator.
It provides OMF in 16 and 24 bit. Some, like myself, think it's
strange to pay for what's included in other software;
...but hey, it's Digi, they even charge you for mp3-option!

Digi charges a arm and a leg for everything, then the come back for the fingers
and toes one at a time. We know the drill.

In spite of all of this, we still stand in line for the pocketbook disection.
That's marketing in the free enterprise system. Gotta love it.

Not true. Both support OMF when running Digitranslator- available from a
dealer for somewhere in the $500 US range.

Why donīt TDM users have this problem, Iīm pretty sure itīs a full TDM
version my client will use for finishing the product.

You see, that's the problem: in order to use the DigiTranslator,
you must buy it like any other plug. That INCLUDES TDM-owners.
So it's all about how the rig is customized, really.
