While the choir is definitely amateur, in both the good and bad senses connoted by that word, I must say that there is a refreshing "live," unprocessed quality to the sound. Heck, I can hear that on a Ron Sexsmith song, but the music is actually listenable. And that particular Ron Sexsmith album was recorded in analog, so I don't know what the big deal is.
