Hello to all,
i have a Cambridge Audio model 540D in witch i listen to DVD-Audio titles.

Tree weeks ago i order two titles:

Carlos Santana Supernatural AND Carlos Santana Shaman from Arista


For my BIG surprise both of them play with huge errors and even stall
completely my DVD machine!

DVD Audio - Carlos Santana "Supernatural":

The initial menu NEVER loads, i only get digital
defective images (small squares) and to access the DVD-
Audio content sometimes i can and i do can select between "Advanced Surround
Sound" or "Advanced Stereo Sound", and sometimes it just crashes my machine!
BUT i NEVE can access the Main Menu or Title Menu.


DVD Audio - Carlos Santana "Shaman":

This disc is even worse!
The initial menu loads ok, i can select "Advanced Sorround Sound" OR
"Advanced Sterio Sound" BUT i can only ear till trak 3!
The menu locks on the image of track 2 and still plays track 3 and them the
system locks!


Did anyone found some kind of errors like this?

Can anything be donne? Other then sending and receiving new items?

These kinds of problems are discussed frequently on www.audioasylum.com in
the "DVD Autobahn" DVD-A forum. Usually the problem is a software problem
in the transport controller chip, often caused by an "out of spec" mastering
job that causes an error that the software ("chipware" ??) can't handle.
Somebody on the audioasylum forum should be able to give you info. You
might want to search the archives on that forum first.

I know that several people had this type of problem with Denon
equipment...and a software upgrade provided the fix.
