I've not seen this model, but I have seen Denons on which a disc would sort
of "barely" scrape the disc tray while playing, due to the suspension sagging just a bit. Your problem could be similar in nature. Just a thought.... Mark Z. "indigo" wrote in message ... Thanks for the reply, Mark. The "Dual-Deck" is "American DJ" model DCD-Pro400, although since I've "Re-positioned" the Dual Drives onto a FLAT surface instead of an "Angle Mount", Drive #2, which had the "skip" problem is working just fine--any ideas as to WHY an "Angle-Rack mount" would affect just one drive not BOTH? Ndigo "Mark D. Zacharias" wrote in message ... Brand and model number would help. Generic advice: A PROPER cleaning, not a cleaning disc, is the first thing one should try in this situation. Have two cotton swabs ready -- one moistened but not dripping with Windex or similar window cleaner, the other dry. Some prefer alcohol (91% isopropyl or ethanol, NOT rubbing alcohol). GENTLY clean the lens in a circular motion, rolling the swab as you go. Follow with the dry one to get any residue. DO NOT adjust anything. You'd only make things worse, maybe to the point of not playing at all. Mark Z. "indigo" wrote in message om... Hi The My problem consists of a DUAL CD Player (like the kind in Clubs). Player #1 plays EVERYTHING without incident--however Player #2 skips while playing. The Dual CD player was "angled" in a "Rack"--have since relocated the Disc drives to a flat service--which SEEMS to help Player #2. I went so far as to remove the cover from the Disc drives to see if I could draw some sort of "correlation" between Players 1 & 2--nothing--and before you ask, YES I have run the CD "Lens-Cleaner" on Player #2. As I said, locating the Disc Drives for Players 1 & 2 on a flat surface (as opposed to angling in a rack SEEMED to have help)--any ideas as to WHY ONE of the Disc Drives would all of a sudden be "sensitive" to an "angled rack" after over 2 years?
