1974 Headhunters was the start of the funk era!
There are dozens of albums after that.
You gotta like his way of playing, though.
He's on my all-time favourites list (guess what my playing's like ;-)

Hancock and associates had African names in the '70s, like Mwbana etc.
They dropped that act pretty quick, though.
