Being a little hard of hearing, I can't often understand dialog in
movies or other TV programs. So I would like to try headphones. I have a 12 year old Mitsubishi TV which has audio terminals labeled "Audio Monitor Output Terminals' described as "Use to connect the audio of the TV to an audio amplifier". There are also a pair of terminals labeled "Audio Tuner Output Terminals" described as "Use to transmit the audio to a Home Theater receiver". Is it possible to attach headphones directly to one of these pairs of terminals or is some sort of amplifier needed? |

Try the "Audio Monitor Output Terminals" which are probably volume controlled with the TV remote. The other output is probably fixed line level, where the volume would be controller by a Home Theater Receiver. If you have an old stereo receiver with a headphone jack, that might work better. Of course, a headphone amp would also work. |
